“Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, overflowing with gratitude.”
Colossians 2:6-7 (HCSB)
This month we will explore the topic of experiencing NEW growth in the life of the Christian as we prepare for our Spring Revival. These short devotions are designed to cause us to think and medicate on the life we are living and the life that takes us to a greater purpose. We have received Christ and must walk with Him daily in a way pleasing to Him.
Got Christ?
Through salvation you have received Jesus as the payment for your sin. You are no longer an orphan; you have been adopted into the Family of God.
For I’m part of the family,
the family of God.You will notice we say “brother
and sister” ’round here-
It’s because we’re a family
and these folks are so near;
When one has a heartache
we all share the tears,
And rejoice in each victory
In this family so dear.I’m so glad I’m a part
of the family of God-
I’ve been washed in the fountain,
cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus
as we travel this sod,
For I’m part of the family,
the family of God.From the door of an orphanage
to the house of the King-
No longer an outcast,
a new song I sing;
From rags unto riches,
from the weak to the strong,
I’m not worthy to be here,
But, praise God, I belong!I’m so glad I’m a part
of the family of God-
I’ve been washed in the fountain,
cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus
as we travel this sod,
For I’m part of the family,
the family of God.Yes I’m part of the family,
the family of God.

As a part of salvation, you are now in relationship with God and a relationship with others as an example of the grace and mercy of a loving, holy God who lives within you through the powerful indwelling of the Holy Spirit. As one person has said, your wants have changed, your language is different, the things you use to be involved in before Christ (BC) are no longer of interest to you. You have a new lease on life; you are desiring to become more and more like Christ in every facet of your life.
Today, Thank Him for your GREAT Salvation! Talk to Him about the wonderful change which has taken place in your life as a result of a meeting with Christ. Thank Him for the person or persons who introduced you to His truth. Thank Him for continuing to love you in spite of repeated failures. Thank Him that this same grace you have received is available to all who will call upon the name of the Lord.
