Pastors School 2019

“…When they saw that Peter and John were without fear…they took note of them that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13 (BBE)

Fire in the Pulpit Pastor’s School January 29-February 1, 2019

Fire in the Pulpit

Through the years I have been afforded educational opportunities allowing me to gather tools for my ministerial toolbox.  Additionally, I have attended many conferences and pastor schools where I have been taught by some of the finest in Southern Baptist life.  Even to this day, there have been opportunities where I have gleaned knowledge, gained new friends, and interacted with others from around the country.  These are experiences I cherish.

Yet, my heart hurts for men/ministers/lay leaders who are unable to get away, due to family and jobs, or even afford the cost of the bigger conferences with hotel and travel expenses.  While talking with some of the men in my circle of influence, their heart cry is to be equipped to serve in more effective ways.

Therefore, after much prayer and seeking leadership I am hosting a pastor’s school at Rockford Baptist Church January 29-February 1, 2019.  We will begin at 5:00 PM with a selection of classes offered in various subjects

  • Conflict Resolution
  • Sermon Preparation
  • Time Management
  • Pastoral Care
  • Expository Preaching
  • Balancing Family Life

These classes will be open to pastor/ministers/lay leaders with limited number of total enrollment (the first 100 to register will be accepted).  There is a small charge for registration; but there will be scholarships available. Registered students will receive a meal each night, a t-shirt, materials such as books and PDF support work over $100.

After the class time, at 6:15 PM we will serve a meal for those who register for the school in our Family Life Center and allow time for students to fellowship with the preacher/musical guest for the night.  At 7:15 PM we will gather for a service of celebration and worship, with music and preaching of the Word of God.

While the class time is limited enrollment and the meal is only for those who register; the service will be open to all who wish to attend. We are aiming for “first class” singing, exciting and dynamic preaching and a time to renew our hearts in the presence of God.

I am sure this is something you will not want to miss.  On our event page at https://rockfordbaptistchurch.org/event/fire-in-the-pulpit/2019-01-29/ you will find the opportunity to register for this event and lock in your registration for one of the six classes offered January 29-February 1, 2019.
