Relationships can be MESSY! LISTEN, ANY TIME YOU HAVE PEOPLE…

 LIVING TOGETHER

 WORKING TOGETHER

 WORSHIPPING TOGETHER

 YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE SOME SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS.

It is because of relationships that the Lord Jesus tells us this parable. This is a story about a Pharisee and a Publican. PHARISEE’S were members of an ancient Jewish sect, distinguished by strict observance of the traditional and written law, and commonly held to have pretensions to superior sanctity; very self-righteous person; a hypocrite. PUBLICANS were despised Jews who collaborated with the Roman Empire. Because they were best known for collecting tolls or taxes, they are commonly described as tax collectors. One prideful; the other humble; One self satisfied; the other unsatisfied.
