#3 Devotional-experiencing NEW growth

Walking IN HIM

Colossians 2:6 says, “Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him…”

Walking in Him begins at the point of salvation…

  • Through accepting His payment for your sin through His Son Jesus Christ on the cross;

  • Believing He is the only way to have eternal life;

  • Confession of your sin and confessing Him as Lord and Savior of your life…

Without a relationship with Christ there is no hope in attempting to walk in relationship with Christ.

Once you have trusted Him as Savior, you want to walk the Christ-like life.  You want to serve with Him with submission to His will, finding sweetness in a life of communion with Him, and willing to take the second seat as you give glory to God who has worked in and through your life.

It is not an easy life.  It is a path scattered with debris, roadblocks, potholes and struggles.  Yet as you hold tightly to His hand you are enabled to stand firm on His promises that He will hold on to you and give your freedom and comfort.

David said, “Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 (CSB)

Pray for ways to be of service to Him.  Seek His strength for your journey and thank Him for never leaving you alone.
